“My dear Kṛṣṇa, when we were in a dangerous situation, You were always present as our friend and adviser. Now we are well situated with our kingdom, and now You are leaving for Dvārakā. This is not good. It is better that we again suffer so you are always with us and we can always remember You.”--Queen Kunti.

Wealth, power, fame, security, comfort,
mean nothing without God, w/o love.
.
Love is the only way to God,
to His heart, to His Kingdom.
.
"The Kingdom of God is at hand."
Love for God is the Kingdom of God,
which is dormant in everyone's heart.
.......
In a meme on Facebook I read:
"Are you really happy or just comfortable?"
We oftentimes mistook comfort for happiness.
Similarly, there's no question that God loves us,
the real question is whether we truly love God.
As love is not about comfort but of sacrifice
&real happiness.
.....
"My safety and comfort in exchange for my silence in the face of widespread death and suffering." If this is the goal of spirituality or religiosity, I'd rather remain a materialist or irreligious person. "Happiness is the goal," and I find no happiness in that mindset. Why should I close my eyes and ears to not see and hear the suffering of others? Would I be happier if I were partly deaf and blind? Is there any repose and hope left for someone whose heart is callous and cannot feel? Why should I sacrifice the most precious and lasting love and compassion in exchange for the beguiling goodies of this illusory world, on this planet of death? Would I be complete and peaceful? "What profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul?" Would he not be more empty inside? ... God, the goal of religion, is love; and religiosity, spirituality, or godliness is a declaration of war against "Maya", the very cunning and deceptive, cruel goddess of mammon, or materialism. In her embrace are the shackles of chaos, misery, and death. Love (happiness) is but a word without sacrifice, and war is an extremely active state of conflict. Both are not about temporary solace, security, or peace.
